How much did you love the book fair in elementary school? Luckily, there are many grown-up versions of this, admittedly involving more tweed and fewer feather pens.
Both the Québec International Book Fair and the 52nd Annual New York Antiquarian Book Fair are happening this weekend, and although I was unfortunately unable to attend either, it got me thinking that I’d like to attend more book fairs & festivals this year. My first thought–the Empire State Book Festival, normally held right here at the Empire State Plaza–is apparently on hiatus for lack of funding. So this list required some minor Googling efforts.
All of the following fairs & festivals are technically within a few hours travel distance of Albany, though you’ll need a passport for some, but come on, weren’t you looking for an excuse to spend a weekend in Montreal? I know I was.
